Tips for Using Calming Videos

Set the volume low

Keep audio at a comfortable background level — not too loud, not silent. Aim for the volume you'd use for soft background music.

Position the screen at eye level

Place your TV or tablet where your dog can comfortably watch without straining their neck. A couch or dog bed in front of the screen works great.

Start before you leave

Turn the video on 5–10 minutes before you head out. This helps your dog associate the video with calm, not with your departure.

Pair with other calming tools

Videos work best as part of a routine. Combine with a comfort toy, a worn t-shirt with your scent, or a calming treat for best results.
